"MePACS gives my family and I reassurance and confidence that I'm safe."

Our client Libbie lives independently in Melbourne and has faced her share of health challenges. She had a heart attack at 63 and takes several medications to manage her conditions, including arthritis, asthma, and frequent dizzy spells. With the risk of falling always on her mind, Libbie appreciates the added security of having MePACS by her side.
Libbie joined MePACS in May 2017, after learning about the service from her local council. She had already witnessed the life-saving impact of MePACS when it helped her 93-year-old aunt. "I knew it was the right choice for me because I live alone and don’t have much family contact during the weekdays. Plus, I loved that I didn’t need a landline phone—it made the service even more accessible."
Help at the press of a button
As a heart patient living alone, Libbie has complete peace of mind knowing that MePACS is always just a press of a button away. "It’s a fantastic service. My daughter and granddaughters work during the week and live far away, so I don’t want them to worry about me. With MePACS, we all feel reassured knowing that if I need help, someone will be there immediately."
Even though Libbie hasn’t had to press her alarm in an emergency, she knows that if she ever does, help is ready. "I wouldn’t hesitate to press my alarm. That’s what it’s there for. The MePACS alarm is a brilliant invention. It makes me feel so confident, whether I’m at home or out in the garden."
Peace of mind for the whole family
Libbie’s family also finds comfort in knowing she’s safe. "My daughter doesn’t have to worry about me as much now. It’s a huge relief for her, and for me. I can continue to live with more confidence, knowing that MePACS is just a button away. I can go about my day knowing that help is always within reach."
Libbie has also experienced how quick and caring the MePACS response team is. "I’ve accidentally pressed my alarm a few times, and the response staff have been so fast to answer and incredibly kind. They must be very well trained. I would absolutely recommend MePACS to anyone who is elderly and lives alone."
MePACS gives Libbie and her family peace of mind, knowing she is never truly alone.
